Below you will find answers to the most common questions about the Interdepartmental English-Taught Undergraduate Programme “Sustainable Agriculture and Food Science”. For further information, please contact the Programme Secretariat.
1. What degree is awarded upon completion of the Programme?
Graduates are awarded an Integrated Master’s degree entitled “Sustainable Agriculture and Food Science” (Greek: Αειφορική Γεωργία και Επιστήμη Τροφίμων). The degree corresponds to Level 7 of the National and European Qualifications Framework (300 ECTS, 5 years of study) and is equivalent to the five-year Integrated Master qualifications awarded by Agricultural Departments at Greek universities.
2. What are the entry requirements for the Programme?
Applicants must hold a secondary school leaving certificate (or equivalent qualification). Sufficient proficiency in English is required and must be demonstrated by a recognised language certificate or equivalent documentation. Selection is based on the evaluation of the applicant’s file and, where applicable, an interview. Full details of the admissions process are available in the Admissions & Funding section.
3. What are the tuition fees?
Total tuition fees amount to €35,000, payable in ten equal instalments of €3,500 per academic semester. An application handling fee of €150 is due at the time of application, and an advance payment of €1,000 is required upon acceptance in order to secure the place. Full details are available in the Tuition Fees & Financial Obligations section.
4. In which language is the Programme taught?
All courses are taught entirely in English. Students who wish to acquire a working knowledge of Greek may enrol in the School of Modern Greek Language at AUTh, which offers Greek language courses for international students during the first three years of study.
